Job Title: CAD Designer/ Product Designer (w/m/d)

Ort: Unterschleißheim (Munich Region), Germany

Position Description: We are currently looking for a CAD Designer/ Product Designer (w/m/d) based at our Munich office.

In this role, you are expected to be responsible for:

• Designing plastic exterior components and/or vehicle trims in 2D and 3D using CATIA and/or NX, taking into account development specifications and quality standards
• Constructive support of the component throughout the product development process
• Adapting, analyzing, and optimizing drawings and designs
• Guiding and checking CAD development work of external service providers
• Responsible for product measurements
• Close cooperation with the German and Chinese project managers regarding design and project coordination in the area of development
• Support the engineering department at Minth China about customer-oriented design work.
• Support the teams of our Chinese parent company in the development of new technologies and train the teams in production technologies.

Following qualifications and abilities are expected for this role:

• Completed technical studies in the field of development, design, mechanical engineering or similar disciplines or comparable education with relevant experience
• At least two years of experience in construction / design / development in the automotive sector with Siemens NX or CATIA V5
• Extensive design, process and material knowledge, experience with trim would be desirable. Strong experience with plastic product and process development. Experience with stamping, deep-drawing and extrusion parts
• System knowledge and user experience of specific OEM systems and requirements (preferably VW; BMW; Daimler)
• Business fluent in German and English
• Willingness to travel
• An open and intercultural attitude; experience in working with China is desirable
