Job Title: GM Assistant/ HR Admin Assistant (w/m/d)

Location: Unterschleißheim (Munich Region), Germany

 

Position Description:

We are currently looking for a GM Assistant/ HR Admin Assistant (w/m/d) to join our Munich team.

 

In this role, you are expected to be responsible for:

GM Assistant Responsibilities

  • Assist the GM in daily communication, especially with non-Chinese stakeholders, including verbal and written translation in Chinese, English, and German.
  • Organize and manage the GM’s schedule, business travel, and other executive office administrative matters.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and follow up on key GM initiatives such as annual plans, KPI reviews, and strategic projects.
  • Support the GM in driving office operational initiatives, including process optimization, policy refinement, and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Collect, analyze, and organize various operational data (e.g., costs, employee turnover, attendance, performance) to support informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between business departments, headquarters, and production plants to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Organize and assist in GM-related meetings, training sessions, workshops, customer and government receptions — including preparation of materials, minute-taking, and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Provide translation and interpretation services for all types of GM-related activities.
  • Perform other administrative or project-based tasks assigned by the GM.

 

HR& Admin Responsibilities:

  • Support HR with payroll-related tasks and documentation.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and training initiatives to support team capability enhancement.
  • Coordinate and support the organization of company events and internal activities.
  • Provide administrative support in daily operations and ad-hoc assignments.
  • Assist in maintaining office policies and procedures as needed.
  • Perform other HR and Admin duties as assigned.

 

Following qualifications and abilities are expected for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or above.
  • Work experience in Germany is a must, with familiarity with German culture and a multi-cultural mindset.
  • Fluency in Chinese, English, and German, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient translation skills across Chinese, English, and German.
  • Willing to do business travel (also abroad).
  • Profound knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
  • Open-minded and adept at intercultural communication, with the strong ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and stakeholders across all levels.
  • Highly organized, capable of setting priorities, and maintaining focus in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Demonstrates a hands-on mentality and thrives under pressure.
  • Affinity for the technology or automotive industry is an advantage.
