Job Title: Resident Engineer (w/m/d)

Location: Wolfsburg, Germany

Position Description: We are currently looking for a Resident Engineer (w/m/d) to join our Wolfsburg team. This position reports to the Team Lead R&D Innovation Center and supports the European R&D Team, working on product development and promotion, documentation for decision making, Information management, Technology approval & handover etc. with focus on the whole MINTH product portfolio.

In this role, you are expected to be responsible for:

• Key contact for VW Wolfsburg in technical topics
• Establishing good relationship with different technical departments of Volkswagen
• Building the bridge between our R&D Center in China, our plants and our customer Volkswagen
• Supporting RFQ, project development and product promotion activities

Following qualifications and abilities are expected for this role:

Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, industrial engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieur) and/ or respective experience within the automotive industry
• Over 3 years working experience in automotive design and development within the Volkswagen environment (preferably exterior or body-in-white)
• Strong network within Volkswagen
• Broad general knowledge of overall vehicle design
• Strong technical background to dive quickly into new topics
• Proficient in a CAD-System (preferred CATIA)

Ability

• Effective communication skills to convey and comprehend complex, technical topics
• To build up and maintain good relationship with customer and other stakeholders
• Self-motivation and willingness to keep learning
• To work independently and self-responsibly
• Confident in working in cross-cultural teams
• Business fluent German and English is a must (Min. B2)
• Willingness to occasional business trips
